Digital Accelerator Grants

What is the purpose of the grant?

The purpose of the grant is to encourage modernising the digital infrastructure of Irish businesses focusing on two main areas: Modern Websites and cutting edge marketing.

More than half of all spending by Irish consumers is done overseas. By taking advantage of the latest technology to introduce cost savings, higher online service and generate more sales Irish businesses will be able to take the opportunities to keep that money within our economy.

What is the value of the grant?

In total the grant is worth up to €10,000 with up to €4,500 for web design and €5,500 for marketing over 6 months.

We cover 30% (up to €4,500) of your website redesign costs, requiring a minimum project size of €1,500 with a €450 contribution. We also partner you with a verified development partner who can perform the project.

For the first 3 months post-launch, we contribute 40% to marketing management costs, followed by 20% for the next 3 months, up to a total contribution of €5,500 over 6 months.

Digital Grant Criteria

Digital Accelerator Grants are open to start ups, sole traders or limited companies headquartered in Ireland with turnover of less than €8 million per year and less than 80 staff.

Who is eligible for these grants?

Retail, tourist, leisure or service based businesses.

Business must be headquartered in the Republic of Ireland.

Companies with less than 80 staff and under €8 million turnover per year.

Start up’s or established businesses.

Sole traders, partnerships or limited companies.

Physical or online businesses.

Who is ineligible for these grants?

Companies headquartered outside of Ireland.

Publicly traded companies.

Companies who have received a Digital Accelerator Grant in the previous 24 months.

Companies who are fully or partly owned by state bodies.

Activities related to gambling, tobacco use or digital marketing companies.

What costs can be paid from the grant?

External supplier web development costs

Marketing management costs

Web site maintenance costs

On going work on the website from approved External Supplier

Staff training from approved External Supplier

What costs are excluded from the grant?

The funding of online advertising campaigns (Google, Facebook, Social Media paid ads, etc.)

Purchase of hardware

The purchase of “off the shelf” software package licences or subscriptions

Video production or photography costs

Any costs incurred before grant is approved
